StrideBy helps you turn real runs into progress through city routes. To do that, the app needs a limited amount of account and activity data.

What StrideBy collects

  • Basic account details needed to create and maintain your StrideBy account
  • Strava connection data needed to authenticate and sync your runs
  • Run activity data needed to calculate mileage, progress, and route updates
  • Optional content you choose to share from inside the app

How StrideBy uses that data

  • To connect your account to Strava
  • To sync your runs and update route progress
  • To render maps, Look Around views, and shareable route postcards
  • To diagnose bugs, respond to support requests, and improve the product

What StrideBy does not do

  • StrideBy does not sell your data.
  • StrideBy does not post to social platforms on your behalf.
  • StrideBy does not use your activity data for advertising profiles.

Third-party services

StrideBy relies on third-party services that are necessary for the product to work, including Strava for activity import and Apple Maps technologies for mapping and street-level views.

Sharing and visibility

Anything you share from StrideBy is shared only when you explicitly choose a share action inside the app.

Retention and requests

Data is kept only as long as needed to operate StrideBy and support your account. If you want to ask a privacy question or request deletion, email Andrew at me@andrewginn.fun.
