StrideBy helps you turn real runs into progress through city routes. To do that, the app needs a limited amount of account and activity data.
What StrideBy collects
- Basic account details needed to create and maintain your StrideBy account
- Strava connection data needed to authenticate and sync your runs
- Run activity data needed to calculate mileage, progress, and route updates
- Optional content you choose to share from inside the app
How StrideBy uses that data
- To connect your account to Strava
- To sync your runs and update route progress
- To render maps, Look Around views, and shareable route postcards
- To diagnose bugs, respond to support requests, and improve the product
What StrideBy does not do
- StrideBy does not sell your data.
- StrideBy does not post to social platforms on your behalf.
- StrideBy does not use your activity data for advertising profiles.
Third-party services
StrideBy relies on third-party services that are necessary for the product to work, including Strava for activity import and Apple Maps technologies for mapping and street-level views.
Sharing and visibility
Anything you share from StrideBy is shared only when you explicitly choose a share action inside the app.
Retention and requests
Data is kept only as long as needed to operate StrideBy and support your account. If you want to ask a privacy question or request deletion, email Andrew at me@andrewginn.fun.
